The Fashion Award Organisers…
- Fashion Awards Australia is a (not-for profit) fashion and design based event that is run and organised by Heather Marcus (Director), a committee consisting of designers Mrs Judy Bond, Mrs Cecelia Sartori, accountants Mr Leon Vilshansky (Green & Sternfeld), Corporate sponsor Ms Chris MacGregor (McGregor By Road), two community members Ms Pauline Walsh and Mrs Margaret Sutton
- All committee members and the director are volunteers and do not receive fees.
- Fashion Award organisers are committed to ensuring a superior standard of programming, promotion and production at a minimum cost to the student entrants and a maximum benefit to its supporters.
- Fashion Award Organisers are committed to creating a platform for sponsors to participate in this commercially beneficial fashion event of ongoing significance.

The Audience and Entrants…
- Fashion Awards Australia consistently attracts an audience at the Gala Presentation Evening of in excess of 650 parents, students and visitors.
- The Awards attract Secondary College and TAFE entrants from Mildura, Ballarat, Bendigo, Melton, Bacchus Marsh, St Albans, Geelong, Wyndham and Greater Melbourne. In 2009, entries forms will be posted to all Secondary & TAFE Colleges inviting teachers to enter their students, as well as being available for download from this website.
- The Awards attract amateur and the top professional designers from across Greater Melbourne and all areas of Victoria.

- Fashion Awards Australia provides an extensive program of categories for the award entrants.
- The adjudication of the garments is extended over two days.
